| HAYWOOD, Ronald -
Of St. Catharines and formerly of Port Colborne passed away peacefully at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Hospital on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of Ann (nee English), loving father of John (Doreen) Haywood of St. Catharines, father- in-law of Jim Pitul of Niagara Falls, dear grandfather of Michael Pitul, Brittani, Barrett and Brandon Mulder, brother of Charles (Edna) Haywood of Newark, Delaware, brother-in-law of Pat and Bert Johns of Port Colborne. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Ronald was predeceased by his daughter Jane Pitul, his granddaughter Sara Pitul and his parents Archer and Eleanor Haywood. Born in Fonthill, he lived in this area all of his life. He worked at INCO for 33 years until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of St. James and St. Brendan Anglican Church, the Macnab Lodge #169 A.F. & A.M. and the INCO Quarter Century Club. Ronald had also volunteered with Scouting for 25 years. Funeral service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, 80 Main St., Port Dalhousie on Monday September 6th at 11:00 a.m. with Canon Gordon Kinkley officiating. Private burial will be in Fonthill Cemetery at a later time. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson Foundation of Canada or the Tender Wishes Foundation. Antonia has peacefully joined her husband Antonio the love of her life, on a new adventure. She will be greatly missed by her children Joseph Ippolito (Mary) and Rose Goss (Dan), her grandchildren Cristina Sakes (Steve), Anthony Ippolito, Sara Goss, Toni Goss; great granddaughter Audrey Sakes and sister Rosaria Tornabene. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews and their children. Predeceased by her brother Rosario Piampiano. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Scapular Church, Niagara Falls on Monday, September 6th at 10:30 a.m. Rite of committal will follow in Fairview Mausoleum. Dave always had a great smile and a kind word or chocolate for his co-workers at the Region of Niagara. Dave loved sports, fishing, coaching his sons and playing cards on Wednesday nights. RADOVANCEVIC, Florence Ruth – (June 14, 1921 - August 29, 2010) - Ruth was predeceased by her husband George with whom she was married to for over 50 years. Also predeceased by her parents, brother Donnie and sisters Fay, Gloria and Helen. Ruth had two daughters Joyce and Sheila who she was very proud of. They will miss her dearly, as will many other relatives. Ruth was raised in Niagara Falls and Toronto. She spent her time working hard, showing her great skills in gardening, seam stressing, floral designing and arranging, selling ladies fine wear, managing and also in tourism. A caring person, she helped other people like no other. Through her life, leisure was spent in various pursuits. She was cremated on Wednesday, September 1st in Niagara Falls. Our celebration of her life will go on forever. Memorial donations may be made to

SWAN, Mary Irene - With all the love and support of her precious family, Irene passed peacefully from this world with dignity to join her beloved husband Jim on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Irene and Jim were married at St. George’s Church in 1931 and raised their family in Grace Anglican Church, where she was a member of the Women’s Service Club and performed in many minstrel shows. Many people will remember her and Jim working with their white aprons in the lunch counter they ran on the corner of Welland and Niagara for many years. Saturdays were special times when she would do her home baking and bring in rhubarb and apple pies. Sadly missed but forever grateful for the extra long life she was granted. Her family will always have wonderful memories of all the good times, playing password only two weeks ago with her grandkids. Going to birthday parties (Karlie), barbecues at Brockton and bingo’s on Wednesday evenings. She lived her life to the fullest and fought to the end for her independence. Loving mother of Sharon (Gary) Boyle and Diane (Daniel) Harris. “Rene” will also be missed by her “special son” Dwight (Iolanda) Gibson. She wanted all to know how grateful she was to her son-in-law Gary who went above and beyond with his help and love for her. Irene was a member of St. George’s Church and she belonged to the Parochial Society until its final days. She was a remarkable woman who lived nearly 102 years to the fullest and was wonderful example to us all. She will be sadly missed and never forgotten. This

Carol Joyce "Colleen" Stratton (nee Walden), beloved wife of Walter (deceased) and loving mother to George (Pam), Michael (deceased), Bill (Paul), and Kathy; grandmother of Ginny and Michael Stratton, Ben and Brian Bowen, great grandmother of Kailyn Bowen, beloved sister of Ted Walden and Frank Walden (deceased), and dear friend of "Anna." Carol Joyce Walden was born in Fort Erie in December 1925 and grew up there on Jarvis Street. Her parents called her their 'little Irish Colleen,' and the name stuck. Colleen worked at Fleet Aircraft during WWII, and after the war met and married her great love, Walter Stratton. Colleen and Walt raised four children in Crescent Park and then Rochester, New York. Avid boaters on the Niagara River, the Great Lakes, Georgian Bay, and in the Thousand Islands, in 1978 Colleen and Walt retired on their trawler "TUG II" and spent five years boating between the Caribbean and Georgian Bay, after which they returned to their roots to live again on the Niagara River. Family meant everything to Colleen. She was happiest with family nearby, boating, skiing, cooking, entertaining, and just being together. She had a special flare for gardening and decorating and her lovely homes showed her creative side. Beautiful inside and out, Colleen was a special person, a "classy lady," loved by all for her caring ways and outgoing friendly personality. She was also well known on the Niagara Parkway for riding her red bike - even at 84 years old! Colleen will be truly missed by all. OSTRANDER, Cathy Margaret - Beloved daughter of Wilhelmina and Paul Ostrander, treasured sister of Bill, Joan, Nancy, Paul and Laurie, and respected Aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Cathy was Willie and Paul's first-born. She was 61 years of age when she passed away peacefully in the company of her family. Cathy gave much to her community in her role as a Social Worker focusing on the care of persons confronted by mental illness. Cathy's family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to her ever patient and caring Family Physician Dr. Krass; to the nurses and staff at Queenston Place; and to Cathy's palliative care nurse, Geneva, who made a tremendous difference in promoting Cathy's well-being during her final days. Cathy's life was often difficult for her, and she faced many challenges along the way. She faced them with determination and dignity, and in her passing showed all who loved her the true meaning of courage and strength. She will be sadly missed. Helen was born in Tombov, Russia August 13, 1925 and immigrated to Canada in 1926. Helen was predeceased by son Alfred (1954) and daughter Loreen (1960). She is also pre- deceased by grandson David (1986). She is survived by her husband Jacob and married children Edward and Cornelia Redekop, Ruth and Philip Pilon, Kenneth and Gina Redekop, John and Nancy Redekop, James and Jayne Redekop. Also survived by her sister Elizabeth Dyck. Extended family includes 22 grandchildren, eight of whom are married and bring 22 great grandchildren into the family. Born in Croatia on October 7, 1939. Beloved husband and best friend of 45 years to Maria. Didi will be forever in the hearts of his grandchildren Anthony, Joey, Kristina, Brayden and Tyler. Survived by four brothers and three sisters and their families in Croatia and Venko (Vince) and his family in Oshawa. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and Godchildren. Predeceased by his parents Marin and Neda and his mother and father in law Ivan and Lucija Radan. After working for many years at Port Weller and Foster Wheeler, Stipe retired in 2004. A special thank you to all family and friends for their care and compassion through Stipe's difficult time. STOCKS, Sydney (Syd) Robert (WWII Veteran) - EXPRESS CONDOLENCES
He was born June 10, 1924 in Niagara Falls to Robert and Georgina (Packer) Stocks. Syd proudly served his country with the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada, going ashore with the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division at Bernieres-sur-Mer on D-Day. His service took him to England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Syd worked for the Ontario Hydro as a welder until 1969 when the family moved to Tempe, Arizona. He worked as a mailroom supervisor for Ambassador Leather Goods, Imperial Litho and Al White Mailing and as a machinist/fabricator with F.W. & Associates. Syd loved work and the camaraderie so much, he worked until his early 70s. In his second retirement, Syd returned to Niagara Falls to be with old friends and extended family, keeping busy with the Masons and Shriners, Hydro, bowling, church and morning coffee "meetings" with his buddies. He also loved trying his luck at the casino and more often than not came home with more in his pocket than he started with. Syd was devoted to his family, returning to Arizona at least twice a year, making sure he was at each grandchild's graduation and often joining the family for Christmas and other celebrations. He will be deeply missed by daughters Deborah Stocks and Lesley Crane, son-in-law Dan Crane and his grandchildren Katie, Kellie and Dylan. Syd also leaves behind a sister Georgina (Albert) Corbett. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Syd will be remembered for being kind, fair and quick with a silly joke. He was the epitome of a "people person," engaging and ready for an adventure. Syd's family is thankful for friends and family who kept him company during his last days, and to the staff of Greater Niagara General Hospital who treated him with respect and kindness. A service of remembrance will be held at Lundy's Lane United Church, 5825 Lowell Ave, on Friday, September 10th with visitation at 11 a.m. – 12 p.m., service at noon and reception following. WEBB, Peter Armine - Born February 19, 1927, and Peter died on August 25, 2010. The son of Marjorie and Samuel Webb of Winnipeg, he left home at 17 to join the Canadian navy, and then went to the University of Manitoba when the war ended, then to Calgary where he liked to say he played tight end for the Stampeders. Finally on to Montreal and a real job with Young and Ribicam and several years service as public relations officer with the 3rd Battalion (Reserve) of the Black Watch, The Royal Highland Regiment of Canada. Transferred to Toronto in 1959, he entered the marketing field with MacLaren Advertising, eventually forming his own company in 1987. His particular expertise was as a marketing consultant to professional service companies. In retirement, Peter took up single scull rowing and competed for both Hanlan Boat Club in Toronto and the Ridley Graduate Boat Club in St. Catharines. His passion as a master rower took him to the Head of the Charles race in Boston six times between the ages of 64 and 71. Peter will long be remembered for his singular wit and keen intelligence, his cryptic sense of humor and true devotion to family and comrades. He enjoyed a fulfilling life in business, sport and family. He leaves his wife of 56 years, Percy; three sons and their wives, Duncan and Stephana, Bruce and Kira and James and Hilary; six grandchildren, Theodore, Flora Grace, Kathryn, Madeline, Angus and Fergus; niece Linda and her husband Ian and their two daughters, Jennifer and Christine. The family wishes to express its profound gratitude to the staff at Chateau Gardens in Niagara-on-the-Lake for the exceptional love and care, humor and compassion for Peter over the past two and a half years. Predeceased by his parents Mary Edith and James Allan Robertson, his grandparents Mamie and Eubelus who raised him due to his mother’s lengthy illness. He is survived by his sister Mary Francis (Len, predeceased) of FL, his wife Lucille, their children and stepchildren Christine, Mary Ann (Brian), James Jr., James Lafrance (Lee-Anne), Maureen Muise (Elden), grandchildren Lyndsay, Ryan, Stephanie, Scott, Simon Viner, Brittany Billingsley (Dan) and Andrew Renaud. James was predeceased by his step-daughter Colleen Lamb-Anthony and step-son Little Joey Lafrance. He served in the military for one year, nine months and 26 days, with the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI) in Calgary and became a member of the Special Parachute Company. He came back to NF and worked for the CN Railroad. During his last two years on the railway, he completed Grades 12 and 13 while working the afternoon shift. He then moved to Hamilton with his family, where he attended Teacher’s College, but was unable to complete the year due to financial challenges. He started a 31-year career at Stelco Hilton Works, working numerous positions and retiring as a Quality Control Inspector. While working at Stelco, he attended McMaster University on a part-time basis, graduating on November 15, 1974 with a B.A. Degree, majoring in Political Science. He retired at the age of 62, shortly after moving back to NF to start a new life with Lucille. Jim will be sadly missed by his wife, family and friends. Visitation and Christian service will be held in Niagara Falls on Thursday. Cremation and a private interment will take place at a later date. (Melanie) Jones, Jeff Jones (Sinceray Hightower) and Mark Newman. Paul was a cherished grandfather of 13, a great-grandfather of one, and uncle & brother-in-law to many. Paul was retired from General Motors of Canada after 37 years and most of that time was spent at the Glendale Avenue location. His greatest enjoyments in his life were his family and his passion for hunting and fishing. He will be missed by his hunting buddies Buck Gobel, Gary Ferguson, Randy Sheldon and Eddie Cahill. Special thanks to Kim from CCAC, who started as his nurse but quickly became a treasured friend to him and his family. He liked being outdoors, and always went for long walks, enjoying the natural beauty of Niagara. He cross-country skied all his life, whenever there was enough snow (never a problem in Timmins!). Michele was born in Poggiomarino, Naples, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1953. He worked for many years at CN Rail before retiring in 1983. He loved bocce, bowling and most of all playing cards. He was known as a joker, a story teller and with a glass of wine in his hand, had a toast for every occasion. He will be remembered as a man who loved his family, his friends and his garden. Jim is survived by his beloved brother Peter (Gitte), loving sisters Susan (Dave) Forgeron and their lovely daughter Rachael, Violet (the late Murray) Priddle and Charlotte (Chuck) Gerdes. Also survived by several nieces and nephews whose company and friendship always brought him great joy. Jim was predeceased by his beloved parents, Fred (1985) and Frances (1986). Also predeceased by brothers Alex (Thelma), Fred (Sheila) and Gordon (Margaret) as well as his sister Margaret (the late Max) Slade. Jim came to Canada in 1946 from his birthplace Leeds, England and lived in St. Catharines and Thorold for the rest of his life. He retired from Hayes Dana in 2006 after nearly 38 years and met some great people during his time there. Jim enjoyed fishing trips with his best buddies Denis Egoroff, Carl Stevens, Gerry Fleming and the late George Kempson, although truth be told, there were never that many fish caught. Jim recently took up golf, but fate determined that he wouldn’t have the time to get much good at it. After a brief but courageous battle with cancer, Sandy leaves behind his wife Sheila Jones, his son Shawn, daughter Tara Melowsky (Craig) and son Tim. He also leaves behind six grandchildren; Robby, Annie Prevost, Krystle, Cory, Nicholas, Steven and Benjamin and great-grandchildren Aidan and Ava Leigh (Born August 16th). Sandy is survived by his sisters Donna Labbe, Carol Olm (Frank), Pam Farr and his brothers Dale and Brian. Sandy will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, many dear friends and his ex-wife and lifetime friend Norma O’Dell. He also leaves his long time “brother” and friend Rick Alakas and family, especially Melissa. Sandy lived a life of service to his community and fellow workers. He worked for General Motors, St. Catharines for more than 31 years, serving as a CAW Local 199 Shop/Committee Person. He served on the National GM Master Bargaining Committee, negotiating at the local level. He was a CAW Community Based Organizer. He started the coalition “Fighting For Our Working Future” (Purple Ribbon Campaign). He was a member of the Canada Cuba Friendship Association and hosted Fiesta Nicaragua for 17 years. He was a founding member of the Golden Horseshoe Social Action Committee and Niagara Blues and Jazz Society. For the last 14 years Sandy served as a Welland City Councillor of Ward 6. She was an avid reader which remained her passion for the rest of her life. Marie married Richard in 1949 and in 1953 they emigrated to Canada for a better life. They lived in several provinces and eventually settled in Ontario. Marie spoke fondly of the staff at Millennium Trail Manor and made many new friends. Marie was the dear wife of the late Richard. Loving mother of the late John Simpson (Ruby), Barbara Dunwoody (Ken) and Brian Simpson (Lori). Dear grandma of Derek, Mark, Michael, Jennilee, Lisa and Adam. SMITH, Thomas Gilchrist - Peacefully at Linhaven Long-Term Care Facility on Friday, August 13, 2010 at the age of 86. Predeceased by his wife Alllison (Hall) in 1999. He was an avid sports fan and thoroughly enjoyed wood carving and stamp collecting. Tom celebrated his Scottish heritage at many Highland Games and Robbie Burns Nights. He had a great love for traditional Scottish music, especially the bag pipes. For many years, tom was a member of Scotlea Presbyterian Church. Tom's life was truly enriched by the genuine loving care he received from the nursing staff, recreation directors and volunteers at Linhaven. Born in England, Evelyn spent her formative years in Barbados before moving to Rimouski, Kenogami and then Quebec City where she raised her family. She later settled in Welland where she continued her passion for volunteering at the Church, hospitals and in her community. This volunteer work included several years at the Woolcott Wing at the Welland Hospital. Evelyn was also a world traveller and enjoyed her love for archeology everywhere she visited. An accomplished artist she also enjoyed giving pottery lessons in her basement. She was an active and dedicated member of St. David’s Anglican Church and was the recipient of the Order Of Niagara in 2008. Honouring Evelyn’s wishes, cremation has taken place. HARDY, Marcel Joseph- It is with great sadness that the family of Marcel Joseph Hardy announces his sudden passing on August 10th, 2010 at age 56. Marcel was a cherished son of Vivianne (Beauparlant). Dear brother of Jean-Guy (wife Monique) of Orleans Ontario, Dahlia (husband Nick) Moccia and Doris Hardy both of Welland, and brother-in-law to Fernande of Port Colborne. Marcel was predeceased by his father Roland (1997) and brother Raymond (2004). Marcel was born and raised in Welland, and lived here all his life. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends that surrounded him throughout his lifetime. As per Marcel and his family’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Marcel's family will be receiving relatives and friends at Eglise du Sacré-Coeur (Sacred Heart Church), 72 Empire Street, Welland on Saturday from 10 - 11 am, followed by a funeral mass that will start at 11 am. He was also an avid slo-pitch player in Niagara and Florida and travelled to many tournaments with his Brantford-based team. He was also an active member for 25 years at White Oaks. Joe was a member of the Niagara Falls Horticultural Society, winning many prizes over the years and was very proud of his gardening skills. He also loved to curl and golf. A service under the Auspices of the Niagara Falls Lions’ Club will be held on Friday at 6:30 pm at the Morse funeral home in Niagara Falls. DOW, Brenda Darlleen (Tracey) - Brenda Darlleen Dow of Damascus, NB passed away on August 8, 2010, in the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital, following a 30-month battle with cancer. She was born in North Bay, Ontario on October 26, 1945, the daughter of the late Courtney and Mary Tracey (Marino). Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Ronald Dow, son Stephen Dow (Rebecca) of Toronto, daughters Nicole Dow of Damascus and Cara-Lee (Casey) Sharpe of Damascus. Eight grandchildren, Brett Dow (Amanda Muise), Brittany Dow, Alyssa and Kalyn Dow, Chelsea, Kensie, Charis and Jayden Sharpe. Two great grandchildren, Kayden and Koda Muise. Her sister Joyce (Tom) Halbert of Stevensville, ON and brother Courtney (Dorothy) Tracey of Niagara Falls, ON. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by grandson Ryan Dow. Brenda attended school in Chippewa, Niagara Falls, ON then worked as a keypunch operator for Regal Stationary in Toronto, a receptionist and secretary in Saint John and prior to becoming ill, as a seamstress for Valley Home Interiors in Rothesay, NB. She was a member of Fun'D Cloggers dance team, Renforth Boat Club, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 58 Rothesay, NB and Darling Divas Red Hat Society, Hampton, NB. Survived by her children Cheryl (late Frank) Sawada, Karen Paiva (Joe), Donald (Mary), Brian (Deborah) and Dennis (Marie). Mary was grandmother to ten, great grandmother to 13 and great great grandmother to two. She is also survived by sisters Virginia Sidorchuk, Margery Davies, brothers Jerry and Paul Romano. Predeceased by five sisters and one brother. Mary was active in Our Lady of Peace Church as a member of the CWL. She was Girl Guide Captain of 13th Niagara and later was District Commissioner of Niagara. She was the supervisor of wait staff at Mt. Carmel Spiritual Centre, which she enjoyed immensely. After retirement, Mary and Albert travelled north, south, east and west and always marveled at the sights they saw. Mary was fun-loving and loved her immediate and extended family. Fiesty to the end, she was always quick with a comment and never failed to speak her mind. Many thanks to the staff of Woodlands who made Mom comfortable over these last six months. Joe worked for Abitibi as a lumberjack for five years, then went to Grain Elevators as a Millwright, finally retiring to Niagara Falls in 1977. Joe was famous for his pig roasts, he loved to fish, and he was loved by all who knew him. Born in Madoc, ON on June 22, 1929, Ralph spent 23 years in Belleville, ON and graduated from D.C.I.V.S. in 1949. In 1954, he married the girl next door, Elsie Walker (July 2009). He was employed by Personal Finance in 1953 which later changed names to Beneficial Finance, and remained with the company for the next 33 years, moving from Belleville, Toronto, New Toronto, Chatham and finally to Niagara Falls in July 1963, where he remained until his retirement in 1986. He is survived by his nephews Gary Sweetman of Niagara Falls, Stephan Sweetman of Belleville, Ross Cordes of New Brunswick, and niece Connie Murray of Kingston. Ralph & Elsie were ardent Witnesses of Jehovah for over 40 years and both looked forward to a time where they would be living in a paradise earth as God promised (Psalms 37:29), where there will be no pain, sorrow, or dying (Revelations 21:3-4). It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our beautiful & cherished Mother & Grandmother, Natalie Konop. She died on August 5, 2010 at Meadows of Dorchester and will now join her husband; John (1973). Thank you to the Meadows for its wonderful care. Natalie leaves behind her loving daughter Eugenia (Jeni), much loved son-in-law; Nicholas Buzdygan, grandaughters Sandra (Paul) Damore, Stephne (Brian) Johnson and all the puppies. She is also survived by nieces in Cleveland, Montreal, and the Ukraine, and sisters-in-law in Welland, Ontario. Born in the Ukraine, Natalie married in Montreal in 1930 and lived the rest of her life in Ridgeway, and then Niagara Falls. Nothing meant more to her than her family, friends and the love for her church. She was an active member of St. Mary's Ukranian Church and a member of the Catholic Woman's League. She was a proud Canadian, while always immensely proud of her Ukranian heritage. Natalie was also a very clever business woman having raised thousands of turkeys on the family turkey ranch in Ridgeway. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and could stretch a dollar beyond its means. Many had said it was Natalie who invented recycling long before it became fashionable, for nothing ever went to waste. She was an Angel on earth, and now she's an Angel in Heaven. GOODMAN, Roland Arthur - (June 29, 1927 - August 3, 2010) - It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father Roland Goodman. Ron was predeceased by his wife Rita (1984). He is survived by his brother Roger and Myra Goodman and his four children, Astrid (Michael), Brian, Kim (Marcel) and Roland (Kathy) and his many nieces and nephews. He leaves behind his four grandchildren, Devon, Andrew, Dylan and Ira whom he loved dearly. Ron emigrated from England in 1949 to Canada where he met his lovely wife Rita and raised their family. Jim will be missed by Eleonor, his best friend and wife for 42 years. He was a proud father of his three children, Carolyn (Bob), Fiona (Brad) and Eleonor (Jason) and a proud grandfather of his seven grandchildren. "Jimmy" Kerr was born in Glasgow, Scotland and Graduated from the University of Glasgow with his M.B., CH.B in 1967. His post graduate work was at the Southern General in Glasgow, followed by the University of Toronto Galley course for Surgical Intern at Toronto Western Hospital. Jim started a family practice in 1971 in Niagara Falls, with Dr. A. Nestler and later, partner Dr. Dan Dargavel. He served the Greater Niagara General Hospital Department of Family Practice from 1971. He served as Chair of the Advisory Committee at GNGH and was head of Family Practice-Niagara Health System from 2000 to 2008. Dr. Kerr had a wing at Nimigon Retirement Home (The Kerr Wing) dedicated to him in 2001 for his service as Physician in Residence. He served as physician for the Ontario Jockey Club and volunteered with Heart Niagara and the Niagara Falls Badminton and Tennis Club where he also served on the board of Directors. Among his other services to the community, he volunteered on the Niagara Marathon Medical Services team for the 1980 and 1984 US Olympic Trials and the 1985 Toronto World Games. He was a member of Niagara Golf and Country Club, a racehorse owner and an avid horseracing fan. Jim will be missed by his many friends, his patients and his colleagues. "The

Peacefully at home on August 1, 2010 in her 84th year. Valerie Stewart, beloved wife of Bill. Stepmother of Bev, Bill, Lori and Ron. Survived by her brother Glen Bottineau of Alberta. Cremation has taken place in Dunnville.
At Valerie's request, there will be no funeral service.
SOBOTA, Milorad “Mike” - Passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at the age of 62. Milorad Sobota, beloved husband of the late Sophie Sobota, dear father of Gordon (Debbie) Sobota and Anne (Dave) Sobota-Park. Cherished grandfather of Jayde, Julian, Alistair and Carly. Milorad will be sadly missed by his brothers Ranko (Marya), Boro (Wanda), Rade (Biljana) and his sister Stana Fila as well as his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation Tuesday in Grimsby. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, 1415 Barton St. E., Hamilton, on Wednesday, August 4th at 11 am. Interment Grimsby Mountain Cemetery. Memorial donations to St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church would be appreciated. |
